Ankara: Inter Milan came from two goals down for the second consecutive Serie A match on Monday, beating Udinese 5-3 at San Siro to maintain their perfect start to the season. Udinese stunned the home crowd by taking a 2-0 lead within the opening 16 minutes. According to Anadolu Agency, James Abankwah opened the scoring in the ninth minute, heading home from a short corner after Unai Gomez picked out the Irish defender. Inter goalkeeper Josep Martinez was then beaten again in the 16th minute when Jurgen Ekkelenkamp turned in Keinan Davis' low cross from close range. The hosts responded in the 26th minute through Carlos Augusto, who fired a long-range effort into the bottom corner. Nicolo Barella restored parity 10 minutes later, recovering after slipping inside the box before beating Maduka Okoye with an angled finish. Inter completed the turnaround in the 57th minute when Marcus Thuram converted Andy Diouf's low cutback. Francesco Pio Esposito extended the hosts' lead in the 67th minute, finding space ins ide the box before calmly finishing past Okoye. Substitute Ange-Yoan Bonny added a fifth in the 80th minute, following up after Okoye had saved his initial effort. Udinese pulled one back in stoppage time through Idrissa Gueye, who finished after a quick counterattack. Inter had also come from 2-0 down in their previous Serie A match against Napoli, winning 3-2 through a stoppage-time goal from Lautaro Martinez. The victory keeps Inter level on points with leaders Roma, who beat Torino 2-0 earlier Monday, with goal difference separating the two sides.
