Washington: A new round of US tariffs on Canadian goods took effect after midnight Tuesday, imposing 50% levies on 110 products. The measures cover a range of goods, including certain cheeses, motorboats, all-terrain vehicles (ATVs), and furniture.
According to Anadolu Agency, these tariffs mark a further escalation in trade tensions between Washington and Ottawa and broaden the range of Canadian products facing higher US duties. The new levies come amid a wider tariff dispute between the two countries, with both governments already imposing or threatening measures affecting billions of dollars in bilateral trade.
