Abu dhabi: UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa held discussions to explore ways to enhance bilateral relations and cooperation between their countries. The meeting, which took place in Abu Dhabi, focused on collaboration, particularly in the economic and development sectors.

According to Anadolu Agency, the discussions revolved around improving 'brotherly relations' and various aspects of cooperation that would benefit both nations. The leaders expressed their commitment to advancing their mutual interests, aiming for prosperity and growth for their peoples. The dialogue also included exchanging views on regional and international issues, with a focus on Middle Eastern developments and their impact on regional security and stability.

The two presidents emphasized the necessity of reinforcing the foundations of regional and global security and stability to serve the interests of development and the welfare of their peoples. Earlier on the same day, President Al-Sharaa participated in the 24th edition of the Arab Media Summit at the Dubai World Trade Centre, where he delivered a keynote speech in a session titled Syria of the Future.

According to WAM, President Al-Sharaa concluded his visit to the UAE with a send-off by UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan and other officials.
