Istanbul: Trkiye's benchmark stock index, BIST 100, commenced trading on a downward trend at the start of the week, opening at 13,868.17 points. This marks a decrease of 0.17%, or 24.13 points, from its previous close.

According to Anadolu Agency, the BIST 100 had ended Friday's session with a fall of 2.41%, closing at 13,892.30 points. The trading volume for the day reached 177 billion liras, equivalent to $3.64 billion.

At 10.10 am local time (0710GMT), the exchange rates were recorded at 48.6580 Turkish liras to the US dollar, 56.2410 to the euro, and 65.6380 to the British pound.

The price for an ounce of gold was noted at $4,332, while Brent crude futures were trading at $107.5 per barrel.
