Istanbul: Trkiye's benchmark stock index, BIST 100, concluded Wednesday's session at 13,122.58 points, marking a decline of 5.54% from the previous day's close. The index, which started the third trading day of the week at 13,868.17 points, experienced a drop of 769.72 points from Tuesday's closing figure.

According to Anadolu Agency, the BIST 100 index recorded a low of 12,817.01 and peaked at 13,877.35 during the day's trading. The total market capitalization of the BIST 100 was approximately 12.77 trillion Turkish liras, equivalent to $263.02 billion, with a daily trading volume reaching 262.4 billion Turkish liras, or $5.39 billion.

Out of the stocks listed on the index, 95 saw a decrease in value while five showed an increase compared to the previous close. Additionally, the price of an ounce of gold was reported at $4,350.85, and Brent crude oil futures were trading around $104.85 per barrel as of 6.20 pm local time (1520GMT).

The exchange rates were also noted, with the US dollar trading at 48.6577 Turkish liras, the euro at 56.1850 liras, and the British pound at 65.5210 liras.
