Istanbul: Trkiye's benchmark BIST 100 index opened Friday at 13,356.72 points, marking a decrease of 1.13% or 153.04 points from its previous close.
According to Anadolu Agency, the index had seen a positive close on Thursday, rising by 2.95% to reach 13,509.76 points. This was accompanied by a daily transaction volume of 266 billion liras, equivalent to approximately $5.47 billion.
As of 09.50 am local time (0650GMT), the Turkish lira's exchange rates stood at 48.7850 against the US dollar, 56.0575 against the euro, and 65.2840 against the British pound. Meanwhile, the price of gold was recorded at $4,390.45 per ounce, and Brent crude oil futures were priced at $102.44 per barrel.
