Istanbul: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced that the country is nearing the 'final stretch' of its 'Terror-Free Trkiye' process, highlighting significant progress despite attempts to derail the initiative.

According to Anadolu Agency, Erdogan made these remarks during a ceremony in Istanbul, emphasizing that despite provocations and traps over the past two years, substantial advancements have been achieved. He described the initiative as a state project aimed at completely eliminating terrorism.

Erdogan stated that the government is committed to cutting off the lifelines of those who have sustained the terrorism industry for nearly 50 years and are perceived as enemies of the nation. He reassured that necessary steps would be taken with determination to prevent terrorism from taking root again in the country.

The president also noted that plans intended to create discord among citizens have been thwarted through the country's efforts, ensuring that new suffering or grief is not brought to families.
