Ramallah: Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov arrived in Utah on Saturday for a working visit to the US, his office said. Zhaparov's visit aims to strengthen bilateral relations and explore opportunities for collaboration in tourism and sustainable mountain development.

According to Anadolu Agency, President Zhaparov is set to meet with state officials in Utah to discuss and review the United States' experience in tourism. The visit is part of a broader initiative to learn from US practices in sustainable mountain development, an area of significant interest for Kyrgyzstan given its mountainous terrain.

Following his engagements in Utah, President Zhaparov will travel to New York. There, he will participate in the high-level General Debate of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly. This event will see world leaders convening in New York, with Secretary-General Antonio Guterres opening the debate for the final time before his mandate concludes.

President Zhaparov is also scheduled for bilateral meetings with various heads of state and executives of major US companies. These meetings aim to strengthen Kyrgyzstan's international ties and foster economic partnerships. The General Assembly's high-level week is set to run from September 22 to 28, providing numerous opportunities for global dialogue and cooperation.
