Jerusalem: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday ordered intensified military operations across the occupied West Bank after a shooting attack that killed an occupier near an illegal settlement northwest of Ramallah. The Israeli army stated that it had arrested a Palestinian suspected of carrying out a car-ramming attack near the illegal Neve Tzuf settlement, also known as Halamish.

According to Anadolu Agency, Netanyahu emphasized that his forces would pursue anyone involved in carrying out attacks against Israelis. He declared, 'We will hold them all accountable-in Gaza, in Lebanon, and in Judea and Samaria,' using the biblical term for the occupied West Bank. Netanyahu instructed the army and the Shin Bet domestic security agency to deploy reinforced forces across the occupied West Bank, impose closures, and conduct 'offensive operations' and arrests.

Netanyahu further ordered authorities to proceed immediately with demolishing the home of the Palestinian accused of carrying out the shooting. The Israeli army and occupiers have increased their attacks against Palestinians and their property in the occupied West Bank since the Gaza war in October 2023. These actions include killing and arresting Palestinians, demolishing homes, and expanding illegal settlements.
