Ankara:Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan expressed hope on Wednesday that Turkey and the United States would reach their $100 billion bilateral trade target as the centennial of their diplomatic relations approaches.

According to Anadolu Agency, Erdogan conveyed his belief that the momentum in economic relations with the USA will continue, enabling the two countries to achieve their trade goal. He shared these thoughts in a social media post during a meeting with representatives of the Turkish-American business community at the Turkish House.

Erdogan also expressed gratitude to the American Chamber of Commerce, business councils, and DEIK for their contributions to the meeting. He noted that the gathering provided an opportunity to discuss a wide range of issues and sectors, including industry, finance, energy, transportation, health, and defense.
