Aktau:Trkiye has expressed its condolences following fatalities that occurred during a military exercise by Kazakhstan's Naval Forces off the coast of Aktau.

According to Anadolu Agency, the Turkish Foreign Ministry conveyed deep sorrow over the incident, which took place on September 24, stating, "We are deeply saddened by the loss of lives that occurred today during a military exercise." The statement also extended wishes for Allah's mercy upon those who perished and offered condolences to their families and the people of Kazakhstan.

The exercise, part of a training and combat mission, was held in Kazakhstan's Mangystau region along the Caspian Sea. Kazakhstan's Defense Ministry reported that 19 servicemen were swept into the sea due to sudden adverse weather conditions and intensified winds.

Tragically, nine servicemen lost their lives, while three were successfully rescued. Search and rescue operations are ongoing for the remaining seven servicemen, with relevant units deployed to assist in the efforts.
