Israeli Attacks in Gaza Result in Six Palestinian Deaths

Gaza City:At least six Palestinians were killed and several others, including children, were injured in Israeli attacks across the Gaza Strip, marking the latest reported violations of a ceasefire agreement in place since last October.

According to Anadolu Agency, two Palestinians were killed and eight others injured in an Israeli drone strike targeting displaced people at the Halawa camp east of the Jabalia area in northern Gaza. The injured were taken to field hospitals in Al-Shifa and Al-Saraya.

Another incident involved the death of one Palestinian and injuries to others in an Israeli drone strike on the roof of a house on Al-Nafaq Street in the Al-Tuffah neighborhood east of Gaza City. Earlier, a medical source reported that Al-Shifa Hospital received the bodies of two Palestinians and several injured individuals, including children, following an Israeli airstrike on an apartment in the Al-Nasr neighborhood west of Gaza City.

Witnesses indicated the airstrike was carried out by an Israeli suicide drone, which caused panic among residents and set the apartment ablaze. The two Palestinians killed in this strike were identified as Izz al-Din al-Beik and Muhannad Abu Foul. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz stated that al-Beik was a commander of the Palestinian group Hamas' northern Gaza brigade, though there was no immediate response to this claim.

In central Gaza, another Palestinian was killed by Israeli army gunfire on Salah al-Din Street east of Deir al-Balah, while a separate Israeli strike seriously injured a Palestinian near the Al-Fakhoura Clinic in Jabalia refugee camp. Additionally, in the southern Gaza Strip, Palestinian Rania Saada succumbed to serious wounds sustained after Israeli forces opened fire on displaced people's tents in Al-Mawasi, Rafah, days earlier.

The Israeli army also conducted a major demolition operation targeting buildings in areas east of Deir al-Balah, according to witnesses and local sources. The Gaza Health Ministry reported that Israeli violations of the ceasefire have led to the deaths of 1,422 Palestinians and the injury of 4,996 others. Since October 8, 2023, the conflict in the Gaza Strip has resulted in over 74,000 Palestinian deaths and more than 175,000 injuries, with around 90% of the enclave's infrastructure destroyed.
