Havana:Cuba's National Electric System has forecast a power supply shortfall of 2,070 megawatts during the evening peak on Friday.
According to Anadolu Agency, this anticipated shortfall is 130 megawatts higher than the 1,940 megawatts forecast for the previous evening. The country has experienced recurring electricity shortages in recent years, leading to regular reports of power supply disruptions and forecasts for expected effects during peak demand periods.
These electricity shortages are a significant concern for both households and businesses, as outages can disrupt daily activities and essential services. However, the forecast did not specify how many customers might be affected by the projected shortfall. The distribution of available electricity across the national grid can vary depending on operating conditions.
