Armenian and Iranian Foreign Ministers Discuss Key Infrastructure Projects

Tehran:Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan engaged in discussions with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi during an official visit to Tehran. The agenda focused on enhancing bilateral cooperation in the sectors of energy, transport, and infrastructure.

According to Anadolu Agency, the ministers deliberated on constructing a second bridge at the Armenia-Iran border and emphasized the importance of completing a third power transmission line between the two nations. They also explored measures to facilitate freight transportation.

Mirzoyan informed Araghchi about the progress of the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP) project, highlighting the potential opportunities it could bring to the region. The discussions also underscored Iran's support for the 'Crossroads of Peace' initiative.

The talks included a commitment to continued cooperation on public information, addressing what the ministers described as unnecessary media speculation. Additionally, they exchanged views on regional developments, with Mirzoyan emphasizing Armenia's focus on resolving outstanding issues through negotiation.
