Riyadh:Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman met with Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa in Riyadh on Tuesday.
According to Anadolu Agency, the meeting was highlighted by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), which shared photos on the social media platform X but did not provide further details.
The Syrian presidency reported that the meeting included Foreign Minister Asaad al-Shaibani and focused on enhancing relations between Syria and Saudi Arabia to serve mutual interests. The discussions also covered regional developments and issues of mutual concern, aiming to support regional security and stability.
Sharaa's visit to Riyadh follows a previous meeting with the crown prince in Jeddah on April 21, where they discussed similar topics. The two leaders also had a phone conversation on July 30 to address bilateral cooperation and efforts to ease regional tensions.
