Los Angeles:A wildfire in Southern California, known as the Bryson Fire, has expanded to 200 acres, prompting evacuation warnings and orders in Los Angeles County. These evacuations affect areas extending towards Leo Carrillo State Park, Pepperdine University, and the Pacific coast.

Camp Kilpatrick evacuated 38 young people from its detention facility, relocating them to the Barry J. Nidorf Juvenile Hall in Sylmar. The Los Angeles County Probation Department acknowledged the stress such evacuations can cause for youth and their families, ensuring that support was being provided and that parents and guardians were informed.
Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass assured that city officials are monitoring the situation closely, even though the fire remains outside the city limits. She stated that the Los Angeles Fire Department is ready to respond to any potential threats, with resources strategically placed across the San Fernando Valley, Santa Monica Mountains, and West Los Angeles.
In response to the fire, Southern California Edison initiated a public safety power shutoff, impacting over 60,000 residents. Additionally, the National Weather Service issued a Red Flag Warning due to a forecasted Santa Ana wind event, which could heighten the fire risk through Saturday.
