Kyiv:President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated on Tuesday that Ukraine's positions on the front lines are currently stronger than they have been for some time, despite ongoing challenges.
According to Anadolu Agency – English, Zelenskyy expressed concerns over the delays in military support from Ukraine's partners, emphasizing the lack of sufficient missiles for the Patriot air defense systems. This shortfall complicates the defense against Russian attacks, which have included over 100 ballistic missile launches against Kyiv and its surrounding region in October.
Zelenskyy highlighted Ukraine's efforts to protect its energy sector, infrastructure, and logistics amid the escalating Russian attacks. He stressed the importance of global awareness, particularly from the United States, as it is crucial for obtaining the necessary authorizations from the Pentagon for Patriot supplies.
Looking ahead to talks involving Russia, Ukraine, and the US expected in November, Zelenskyy underscored the necessity of European involvement in diplomatic efforts. He insisted that Europe must participate and have a voice in decision-making processes, ensuring no European nation is excluded.
