Riyadh:The Saudi Arabian Civil Defense has issued emergency warnings for the capital city of Riyadh, the Al-Kharj governorate, and the southern city of Najran. Residents in these areas have been urged to adhere to safety instructions as part of the alert.

According to Anadolu Agency – English, the warnings were disseminated via the National Early Warning Platform and announced on the social media platform X. However, the agency did not specify the nature or details of the potential threats.

Al-Kharj, situated southeast of Riyadh, and Najran, located in southern Saudi Arabia near the border with Yemen, are among the regions affected by these alerts. The warnings come in the context of ongoing regional tensions and persistent missile and drone threats related to the conflict in neighboring Yemen.
