Tehran:Iran has issued a stern warning that any new military action by the United States could lead to a broader conflict in the region. Brig. Gen. Mohammad Akraminia, spokesperson for the Iranian army, cautioned that if US President Donald Trump were to undertake another military venture in collaboration with Israel, it could result in a significant escalation.

According to Anadolu Agency – English, Akraminia expressed his concerns via the US social media platform X, stating that such actions could ignite a conflict beyond the control of President Trump. He emphasized that the Iranian army is enhancing its combat readiness and is vigilant regarding US movements in the Middle East.

The warning comes amidst ongoing high tensions in the region, which intensified following US and Israeli attacks on Iran on February 28, leading to retaliatory actions from Iran. Despite diplomatic initiatives and an agreement between Washington and Tehran in June, disagreements over security and navigation in the Strait of Hormuz continue to fuel tensions.
