Africa Water Conference Reaffirms Commitment to Sustainable Future

Kampala: The executive director of the African Water and Sanitation Association (AfWASA) reaffirmed the group's commitment to a sustainable future at its 22nd international congress and exhibition in Uganda.

According to Anadolu Agency, Olivier Gosso emphasized the significance of the event by outlining the group's pivotal role in the governance and innovation of the sector during the conference's opening ceremony on Sunday. He noted that the group operates in 43 African countries, focusing on securing funding for governance, service quality, and innovation in water and sanitation, backed by 45 years of expertise.

Gosso urged members and partners to uphold their dedication to a sustainable future for Africa. The AfWASA ICE2025 commenced in Kampala, Uganda, on Sunday and will continue until Thursday. The event features discussions among high-profile Ugandan authorities, African officials, development partners, and delegates on topics such as water governance, financing, climate resilience, and innovation.
