Beijing: Nearly 100 military officials from 40 African nations commenced a 10-day visit to China, an official statement revealed. Officers from countries such as Egypt, Mozambique, Tanzania, and Kenya are set to explore China until May 15, following an invitation from the nation's Defense Ministry.

According to Anadolu Agency, the delegation will engage in various exchange activities and visit several cities, including Beijing, Changsha, and Shaoshan in central Hunan province. This visit highlights an ongoing effort to strengthen military ties and collaboration between China and African countries.

Earlier this year, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi announced a significant military aid package to Africa, pledging 1 billion yuan (approximately $136 million) during his visits to Namibia, DR Congo, Chad, and Nigeria. Wang also committed to training 6,000 troops and 1,000 police officers across the continent, underscoring China's growing influence in the region.

The African delegation's visit closely follows the conclusion of a joint air force training exercise between China and Egypt. The 18-day exercise, dubbed Eagles of Civilization 2025, was conducted at an Egyptian air base and concluded on Sunday.
