Alexander Brothers Sentenced to 30 Years for Sex Trafficking and Abuse Scheme

New York:Three brothers, including two prominent luxury real estate agents, have each been sentenced to 30 years in prison for operating a years-long sex trafficking and sexual abuse scheme targeting women and minors, announced the US Justice Department. The sentencing was delivered by US District Judge Valerie Caproni in Manhattan federal court, following their convictions on multiple federal sex offenses.

According to Anadolu Agency – English, Tal Alexander, 40, and twins Oren and Alon Alexander, 39, were sentenced not only to prison terms but also to 10 years of supervised release following their incarceration. The brothers were convicted on all counts on March 9, including charges of conspiracy to commit sex trafficking, after a six-week trial.

The trial revealed that from at least 2008 until 2021, the brothers worked together and with others to drug, sexually assault, and rape numerous women. Oren and Tal Alexander leveraged their influence in the luxury real estate industry and their networks in New York and Miami to target women. They, along with their associates, recruited victims via social media, dating apps, personal encounters, and party promoters, offering them luxury travel and exclusive parties.

Prosecutors detailed how the brothers secretly placed sedative drugs in some women's drinks, impairing their ability to resist or escape. In some instances, victims were physically restrained while being assaulted by one or more of the brothers, despite their pleas for the attacks to stop. The scheme also involved women encountered at bars, nightclubs, and social events.

US Attorney Jamie McDonald labeled the Alexanders as convicted sex traffickers and serial rapists, criticizing their use of careers and social status to hide their dangers. McDonald praised the courage of the victims who testified. Alon Alexander was sentenced for crimes including sex trafficking a minor and aggravated sexual abuse, Oren for sexual exploitation of a minor, and Tal for offenses involving several victims, including a minor. Despite their convictions, the brothers denied any wrongdoing during the sentencing hearing.
