The hague: Expanded and updated editions of Anadolu's "Gaza Trilogy" documenting Israel's actions in Gaza were delivered Friday to the Office of the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court. The trilogy, consisting of The Evidence, The Witness, and The Perpetrator, was submitted to the prosecutor's Evidence and Discovery Management Unit, which is responsible for managing all evidentiary materials received by the court.
According to Anadolu Agency, the latest submission ensures that the prosecutor's office now possesses the most recent editions of all three volumes. This includes the 10th edition of The Evidence, which documents Israeli military actions in Gaza through Anadolu journalists' photographs and video footage. The book highlights that the military campaign launched by Israel under Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in October 2023 led to unprecedented destruction and loss of life since the 1948 Nakba and underscores violations of international and humanitarian law.
The Witness, now on its fourth edition, compiles firsthand testimonies from Palestinians, Turkish journalists, and members of Gazan society. It delves into personal stories supporting the evidence presented in The Evidence and critiques the international community's response to the events in Gaza.
The Perpetrator, the third volume, focuses on the role of the Netanyahu administration and others claimed to be responsible for the violence in Gaza. It documents political, military, business, academic, and cultural figures linked to the war effort, aiming to preserve an historical record for future accountability.
Photographs from the trilogy have been used as evidence by South Africa in its genocide case against Israel before the International Court of Justice, where images captured by Anadolu journalists were presented to argue alleged genocidal intent in Gaza.
