Ankara: Anadolu, in partnership with the Turkish Police Academy and the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA), concluded on Friday its 28th war journalism training program in Ankara. The 12-day course prepares journalists for reporting in conflict zones, disaster areas, and other emergency situations.

According to Anadolu Agency, this year, 24 journalists completed the program, including nine Anadolu staffers and 15 participants from countries such as Djibouti, Tunisia, Senegal, Niger, Cameroon, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Gabon, Guinea, and Chad. Certificates were presented in a ceremony at the Police Academy campus.

Anadolu Academy Director Zeynep Bayramoglu Ozturk stated that the program has trained more than 600 journalists over 28 terms. 'Participants received intensive instruction on personal safety, war terminology, first aid, and survival skills,' Ozturk said. 'The program gives journalists practical experience for reporting under extreme conditions and supports colleagues around the world.'
