Another Body Recovered in Bali Ferry Disaster, 28 Still Unaccounted For

Indonesia: Indonesian authorities discovered another body at sea on Sunday during a search operation launched after a vessel sank near Bali island.

According to Anadolu Agency, The death toll has now risen to seven, with 28 people still missing and 30 rescued, as the ferry carried approximately 65 people. The ferry on its way to Bali island sank just before midnight on Wednesday as it crossed from eastern Java island.

On Saturday, the Indonesian Navy joined teams from the National Search and Rescue Agency to assist in the search for the missing.

First Admiral Endra Hartono, commander of the Surabaya II Fleet Naval Combat Group, said they discovered the body approximately six miles from where the ferry sank.

Experts believe the chances of finding the missing passengers alive are slim, as authorities have been unable to locate them despite ongoing search operations over the past five days.
