Arab Countries Condemn Deadly Car-Ramming Attack in New Orleans

NEW ORLEANS: Several Arab countries on Wednesday voiced their condemnation of a deadly car-ramming attack that resulted in numerous casualties in New Orleans. The incident, involving a white Ford F-150 pickup truck, occurred early Wednesday morning in the French Quarter, leaving at least 15 people dead and over 30 injured.

According to Anadolu Agency, the FBI has identified the attacker as Shamsud-Din Jabbar, a 42-year-old U.S. citizen from Texas and an Army veteran. In response to the tragedy, the Egyptian Foreign Ministry expressed solidarity with the United States, extending condolences to the victims' families and emphasizing Egypt's rejection of any form of violence that endangers civilian security.

Saudi Arabia's Foreign Ministry echoed this sentiment, firmly rejecting all forms of violence. The Qatari Foreign Ministry also condemned the attack and reaffirmed Qatar's stance against violence, terrorism, and criminal acts, regardless of their motivations.

Iraq issued a strong condemnation of the incident, expressing solidarity with the American people. Similarly, the Bahraini Foreign Ministry extended heartfelt condolences to the families affected and reiterated Bahrain's position against violence and terrorism in any form.

Jordan joined the chorus of condemnation, denouncing the attack as terrorism and reinforcing its rejection of all actions that threaten security and stability. In a statement, Jordan's Foreign Ministry underscored the kingdom's commitment to opposing terrorism and violence.
