Ankara: Arab countries Monday evening condemned the Iranian missile attacks that targeted the US' Al Udeid base in the Gulf state of Qatar.

According to Anadolu Agency, Saudi Arabia's Foreign Ministry expressed strong condemnation of the Iranian aggression against Qatar, labeling it as a flagrant violation of international law. Egypt's Foreign Ministry echoed similar sentiments, describing the attacks as a breach of Qatar's sovereignty and a threat to the region's safety.

Iraq's Foreign Ministry expressed great concern over the escalating tensions in the region, particularly highlighting the attacks on Qatar. Jordan joined in the condemnation, emphasizing the violation of international law and Qatar's sovereignty by Iran's actions.

Palestine's official news agency, Wafa, reported that the Palestinian authorities also condemned the Iranian missile attack, labeling it as a blatant violation of Qatar's sovereignty. Morocco's Foreign Ministry decried the missile strikes, highlighting the threat to Qatar's airspace and the US base.

The tensions escalated when Iran launched a barrage of missiles at the US military's Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar, following the US targeting of three Iranian nuclear sites in Iran. The attacks, termed Operation Bashayer Al-Fath or Glad Tidings of Victory by Iranian officials, marked a significant escalation in regional tensions.

Qatar's Defense Ministry reported that its air defenses successfully intercepted the missile attack on the US base, with no casualties reported. Other Gulf nations, including Kuwait, Oman, the United Arab Emirates, and Yemen, also condemned the Iranian attacks, showcasing a united front against the aggression.
