Baghdad: About 10 explosions were reported in the vicinity of Baghdad International Airport near US assets on Tuesday evening, according to Iraqi media reports.
According to Anadolu Agency, citing a security source, the Shafaq News Agency reported that a drone targeted a logistics support headquarters near the airport serving the capital. The extent of the losses remains unknown.
The entire region has been on alert since Israel and the US launched a weeks-long offensive against Iran on February 28. Tehran has retaliated with drone and missile strikes targeting Israel, Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf countries hosting US military assets. These actions have caused casualties and damage to infrastructure, while also disrupting global markets and aviation.
