London: An art exhibition titled Posters to the Olive Tree of Exile is set to open in London on January 15, focusing on the devastation in Gaza following Israeli attacks that commenced in October 2023. The exhibition, organized by P21 Gallery and Saka Sanat, showcases the works of artist Yusuf Aygec and will be available for viewing until January 30, 2026, at the London-based gallery.

According to Anadolu Agency, the exhibition is curated by Samed Karagoz and revolves around themes of memory and witnessing. It aligns with assessments by international human rights organizations, which have characterized Israel's ongoing attacks as acts of 'genocide.' The exhibition underscores the ethical role of art as a form of testimony amidst the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

Many pieces by Aygec are inspired by the poetry of Mahmoud Darwish, a figure widely recognized as the national poet of Palestine. His influence is evident in the exhibition's focus on the human experience and tragedy resulting from the Israeli attacks on Gaza. Over 70,000 people, predominantly women and children, have been killed, and more than 171,000 have been injured since the hostilities began, despite ongoing calls for peace.
