At Least 10 Killed in Israeli Airstrikes Targeting Southern Lebanon

Beirut: The Israeli army launched a series of airstrikes targeting numerous areas across southern Lebanon on Thursday, resulting in the deaths of at least 10 individuals and injuring nine others. This marks a significant escalation in the ongoing conflict in the region.

According to Anadolu Agency, warplanes struck at least 44 towns across southern Lebanon, including Bint Jbeil, Khiam, Al-Mansouri, and Kfardounin. The Lebanese Health Ministry reported that four individuals were killed and three others were injured in a strike on the town of Ramadiyeh in the Tyre district.

In another incident, the state-run National News Agency indicated that three people lost their lives when a two-story building was hit in the town of Kfarsir. Additionally, a municipal council member and two of his family members were killed when Israeli warplanes targeted a four-story building in Zebdine, as reported by the agency.

Furthermore, six people sustained injuries, with three in critical condition, following an airstrike on a complex in the town of Kfar. The Israeli military actions have intensified following a cross-border attack by Hezbollah on March 2, leading to a ground offensive in southern Lebanon.

Lebanese authorities have reported that nearly 1,345 people have been killed and 4,040 others injured since the onset of the Israeli assault.
