Gaza: At least 25 people were killed and dozens injured when an aid truck overturned onto a crowd waiting for food as the Israeli army killed 24 people across the Gaza Strip on Wednesday. The state news agency Wafa reported that the fatal incident occurred after the Israeli army forced the truck to take an unsafe route in central Gaza. The exact location of the incident was not specified.
According to Anadolu Agency, a medical source indicated that five Palestinians were killed by Israeli gunfire while waiting for aid delivery near a distribution point in western Rafah in southern Gaza. Additionally, a strike on an apartment in the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza resulted in the death of five family members and injured more than 20 people.
In Gaza City, an Israeli drone strike killed a six-month-old infant in a tent housing displaced families. Israeli attacks also targeted two other homes in the same city, killing eight Palestinians, including children. Furthermore, five Palestinians lost their lives when the Israeli army shelled a tent sheltering displaced people in Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip.
Israel has maintained a blockade on Gaza for 18 years, and since March 2, it has shut down all crossings, blocking the entry of humanitarian aid and worsening conditions for the territory's 2.4 million residents. Gaza's Government Media Office reported that Israel had allowed just 843 aid trucks since July 27, far short of the 6,000 trucks required to meet the daily needs of the residents.
