At Least 32 Palestinians Killed in Fresh Israeli Strikes on Gaza

Gaza city: At least 27 Palestinians were killed and dozens of others injured Sunday in fresh Israeli airstrikes on the Gaza Strip, according to medics. The attacks targeted multiple locations throughout the region, exacerbating the already dire humanitarian situation.

According to Anadolu Agency, five Palestinians lost their lives and several others sustained injuries when Israeli warplanes struck a residential apartment in the al-Daraj neighborhood of central Gaza City. In another incident in the same neighborhood, Israeli forces killed eight Palestinians, including children, and wounded dozens more after striking a gathering of civilians near the Hamza Mosque.

Further casualties were reported in the al-Sabra neighborhood, where an Israeli attack on several houses resulted in the deaths of five Palestinians and injuries to others. The toll is expected to rise as civil defense teams continue their efforts to retrieve victims trapped under the rubble.

In the Tel al-Hawa neighborhood in southwestern Gaza City, a separate Israeli strike killed a Palestinian woman and wounded others when shelling targeted a civilian gathering. Meanwhile, in the town of al-Mughraqa, north of the Nuseirat refugee camp, a Palestinian man was killed in an airstrike targeting civilians, as reported by local sources.

Israeli shelling near an UNRWA medical clinic in the Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza resulted in the deaths of seven Palestinians, including four children, and inflicted injuries on others. The escalation in violence further compounds the tragic toll since October 7, 2023, where ongoing Israeli actions have killed over 65,000 Palestinians, most of them women and children.

The ongoing conflict has resulted in the displacement of hundreds of thousands, with a blockade on humanitarian aid claiming the lives of at least 442 Palestinians, including 147 children.
