Baku: Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov announced that Azerbaijan and Trkiye are coordinating on new projects aimed at the 'coming decades.' During a joint news conference with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, Bayramov highlighted the discussions centered on sectors of strategic importance.

According to Anadolu Agency, Bayramov emphasized the energy sector, citing the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline project and the Southern Gas Corridor as key contributors to the energy security of Azerbaijan, Trkiye, and a broader geographical region. He expressed optimism about projects with significant potential being developed through close cooperation between the two nations.

Bayramov also discussed initiatives in alternative energy, focusing on delivering green energy produced in Azerbaijan to Europe via the Black Sea. He mentioned a new energy cable project connecting Azerbaijan's autonomous Nakhchivan region with Trkiye, describing these initiatives as opening new avenues with immense potential.

The foreign ministers engaged in talks about Azerbaijan's participation in multilateral platforms, including the Organization of Turkic States (OTS). Bayramov noted the upcoming OTS summit in Trkiye and expressed support for Trkiye's hosting of COP31, emphasizing Azerbaijan's active role in climate diplomacy.

Bayramov and Fidan also exchanged views on regional issues in the South Caucasus and the Middle East. Bayramov detailed the rapid progress in establishing new transport infrastructure in Azerbaijan, with significant completion of highways and railway connections to the Armenian border.

Direct discussions between Yerevan and Washington regarding the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP) project were mentioned, with Bayramov noting that a new transport corridor linking Europe to Central Asia will emerge once the route is established.
