Sanaa: Bahrain's Civil Aviation Affairs announced that an Iranian drone attack targeted the civilian air navigation systems responsible for managing the country's Flight Information Region. This incident comes amid ongoing military tensions between Iran and the United States.

According to Anadolu Agency, the attack did not disrupt the flow of air navigation operations, as reported by the state news agency BNA. The competent authorities swiftly managed the situation following the approved operational and security procedures, ensuring the continuity of navigation services and the safety of air traffic.

The aviation authority confirmed that flights and transit air traffic within the Bahrain Flight Information Region remained unaffected, with continuous monitoring and coordination in place. This incident occurred after Bahrain's air defense systems intercepted multiple Iranian aerial attacks early Monday.

Regional tensions have been on the rise since the US and Israel launched a joint offensive against Iran in February, leading Tehran to retaliate with drone and missile strikes targeting Gulf nations hosting US assets. A Pakistani-mediated memorandum of understanding was signed last month between the US and Iran to end their conflict and establish a lasting peace agreement. However, tensions have flared again over the Strait of Hormuz, with both sides exchanging attacks.
