Manama: The General Command of the Bahrain Defense Force announced that air defense systems have intercepted and destroyed 130 missiles and 234 drones since the beginning of Iranian attacks on the kingdom. The forces confirmed that missile and drone attacks, claimed to be launched by Iran, continue to target Bahrain.

According to Anadolu Agency, the Bahraini armed forces issued a statement emphasizing the ongoing confrontation with successive waves of attacks attributed to Iran. The statement urged citizens to exercise caution, avoid damaged or suspicious areas, and refrain from photographing military operations or debris impact sites. Citizens were also advised to rely on official sources for information and follow state media for alerts and instructions from authorities.

The Bahraini Defense Force highlighted that the use of ballistic missiles and drones to target civilian facilities and private properties constitutes a violation of international humanitarian law and the UN Charter. The statement stressed that such attacks pose a direct threat to regional peace and security.

Regional tensions have intensified as Israel and the US continue a joint offensive against Iran, resulting in significant casualties, including the death of former Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. In retaliation, Iran has launched drone and missile strikes against Israel, Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf countries hosting US military assets, leading to casualties, infrastructure damage, and disruptions in global markets and aviation.
