Bahrain Intercepts 174 Missiles and 385 Iranian Drones Since February

Manama: The Bahraini army announced on Saturday the successful interception and destruction of 174 missiles and 385 drones targeting the kingdom since February 28, marking the onset of Iranian attacks.

According to Anadolu Agency, the General Command of the Bahrain Defense Force issued a statement highlighting that their air defense systems are actively confronting ongoing waves of attacks described as ‘terrorist Iranian attacks.’ The statement emphasized the forces’ full combat readiness and sustained operational capability to safeguard the nation. It also assured that armed forces personnel are equipped to counter all aerial threats.

The command advised everyone in the kingdom to maintain maximum caution for safety, avoid affected areas and suspicious objects, and refrain from filming military operations or impact sites. Furthermore, it warned against spreading rumors that may cause unrest. The statement underscored that the targeting of civilian infrastructure and private property with ballistic missiles and drones is a ‘flagrant violation of international humanitarian law and the UN Charter.’ It also warned that these indiscriminate attacks pose a direct threat to regional peace and security.
