Bahrain Reports Child Injured and Property Damage from Iranian Drone Debris

Manama: Bahrain announced that an 11-year-old girl sustained minor injuries and several homes and vehicles were damaged following the interception of Iranian drones. Debris from the drones fell in residential areas, causing the reported damage.

According to Anadolu Agency, the Bahraini Interior Ministry shared on the social media platform X that the injured girl received treatment at the scene. The ministry detailed that the debris led to vehicle fires and damage to homes in Hamad Town and Manama. Civil defense and national ambulance teams responded promptly to the affected areas.

The General Command of the Bahrain Defense Force issued a statement accusing Iran of maintaining a hostile approach through attacks on civilians in Bahrain. It confirmed that Bahraini air defense systems successfully intercepted and destroyed several Iranian air attacks, describing the targeting of civilians and private property as a violation of international humanitarian law.

In related developments, Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps reported strikes on 18 major US military targets, including bases in Kuwait, Bahrain, and Jordan. This escalation follows US military actions in southern Iran and Iran's announcement of closing the Strait of Hormuz to maritime traffic.
