Bahrain’s Aluminum Producer Confirms Iranian Attack on Facilities, 2 Workers Injured

Bahrain: Bahrain’s aluminum producer Alba confirmed Sunday that its facilities were hit in an Iranian attack the previous day, leaving two employees with minor injuries. The company stated it is currently assessing the extent of the damage resulting from what it described as a ‘malicious Iranian attack.’ Despite the situation, Alba is continuing efforts to maintain operations and ensure the safety of its workforce.

According to Anadolu Agency, Alba operates the world’s largest aluminum smelter at a single site but did not provide details about the specific damage incurred. Iran’s Revolutionary Guard had announced earlier on Saturday that it targeted Alba’s facilities in Bahrain, as well as Emirates Global Aluminium facilities in the United Arab Emirates, claiming these were linked to US industries.
