Belgian Defense Minister Engages in Strategic Talks with Turkish Aerospace

Ankara: Belgium's Minister of Defense and Foreign Trade, Theo Francken, visited Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI), marking a significant engagement between the two nations in the field of defense and aviation technology. Mehmet Demiroglu, CEO of TAI, expressed on the Turkish social media platform NSosyal the company's delight in hosting Francken.

According to Anadolu Agency, the discussions during the visit were described as productive, focusing on ongoing efforts in the defense industry, aviation technologies, and international cooperation. Demiroglu highlighted that the meeting provided an opportunity to share national engineering capabilities and advanced technology solutions, paving the way for assessing joint opportunities for future collaborations.

Francken's visit was part of a broader Belgian economic mission to Trkiye from May 10-14, led by Queen Mathilde of Belgium. The delegation also included Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Maxime Prevot, alongside Francken, emphasizing the importance of strengthening bilateral ties and exploring collaborative ventures in various sectors.
