BIST 100 Index Opens Lower in Turkey

Ankara:The country's benchmark stock index, BIST 100, opened on Tuesday at 12,516.00 points, marking a decrease of 0.61%, equivalent to a drop of 76.76 points.

According to Anadolu Agency, the index had closed on Monday at 12,592.76 points, having fallen by 2.38% with a daily transaction volume reaching 115 billion liras, approximately $2.35 billion.

By 10.35 am local time (0735GMT), the exchange rates were recorded at 48.9995 Turkish liras to the US dollar, 55.6330 to the euro, and 64.8895 to the British pound. The price for an ounce of gold stood at $4,144.75, while Brent crude futures were trading at $106.2 per barrel.
