Gaza: Muhammad Ali, a British activist, said he joined the Thousand Madleens flotilla to deliver medical supplies and urged the international community to "liberate Gaza forever."
According to Anadolu Agency, Ali stated his intention to travel with a thousand marines to deliver medical aid to the people of Gaza. He called on the international community to unite with "thousands of boats and head toward Gaza and liberate Gaza forever," emphasizing the urgency of the situation with a rallying cry of "Free Palestine."
Israeli naval forces recently attacked and seized vessels of the Global Sumud Flotilla, detaining more than 470 activists from over 50 countries. The flotilla's mission was to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza and challenge Israel's longstanding blockade of the enclave.
Israel has maintained the blockade on Gaza, home to nearly 2.4 million people, for almost 18 years.
