Jerusalem: Former Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett has publicly condemned acts of violence against Arabs, labeling the burning of homes with innocent people inside as "Jewish terrorism."

According to Anadolu Agency, Bennett made these statements at the Besheva conference, emphasizing that such acts fall under the definition of terrorism, particularly when motivated by nationalist reasons. He stressed the importance of condemning these actions and questioned their purpose, particularly in relation to the settlement movement.

Bennett's remarks come at a crucial time as Israel prepares for its general elections on October 27. The elections are expected to be a significant political battle, with Benjamin Netanyahu's Likud party facing challenges from key figures such as former army Chief of Staff Gadi Eisenkot and Bennett himself.

The former premier's comments also highlight the increasing violence in the occupied West Bank, where recent days have seen a surge in attacks by both the Israeli military and settlers.
