Cavaliers Extend Win Streak to 13 with 118-117 Win Over Hornets


Cleveland: NBA-leading Cleveland Cavaliers secured their 13th consecutive win with a narrow 118-117 victory over the Charlotte Hornets. Eight games took place in the NBA on Saturday, with the Eastern Conference leaders, the Cavaliers, hosting the Hornets at Intuit Dome. Donovan Mitchell led his team to victory with a standout 24-point performance.



According to Anadolu Agency, Evan Mobley recorded a double-double, recording 19 points and 10 rebounds, while Darius Garland added 20 points. Both played key roles in the Cavaliers’ 53rd win of the season. Despite Miles Bridges’ impressive 46-point performance, the Hornets suffered their 48th loss of the season.



In another game, the Denver Nuggets hosted the Phoenix Suns, securing a 149-141 victory. Nikola Jokic’s historic performance led the team, as the Serbian star dominated with 31 points, 21 rebounds, and 22 assists. With this achievement, Jokic became the first NBA player with a triple-double of at least 30 points, 20 rebounds, and 20 assists. Aaron Gordon contributed 27 points, while Christian Braun and Jamal Murray added 25 and 19 points, respectively, for the Nuggets. Despite Devin Booker’s 34 points and Kevin Durant’s 29, the Suns suffered their 34th loss of the season.



The results of other games are as follows: Los Angeles Clippers defeated New York Knicks with a score of 105-95; Sacramento Kings overcame San Antonio Spurs 127-109; Minnesota Timberwolves narrowly beat Miami Heat 106-104; Oklahoma City Thunder won against Portland Trail Blazers 107-89; Toronto Raptors secured a 118-109 victory over Utah Jazz; and Memphis Grizzlies triumphed over Dallas Mavericks 122-111.
