Deputy Premier and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani said Thursday that a special charter flight was being organized for the return of about 180 Italians from Beirut. With a situation on the ground that is "particularly complex" in Lebanon, "we are working to favour an increase of connections to leave Beirut, including charter flights and other ways on which we are working with the defence ministry", said Tajani. "We have been organizing over the past few hours, a special charter flight to transfer back to Italy some 180 compatriots, whom we hope can already arrive tonight", Tajani told the Senate.
