Ankara: China on Tuesday announced the successful launch of a new experimental satellite designed for communication technology into space. The satellite was launched from the Xichang Satellite Launch Center, located in the southwestern province of Sichuan. It is intended for use in satellite communication, radio and television broadcasting, data transmission, and conducting related technology tests. According to Anadolu Agency, this launch marks the 549th mission undertaken by Beijing's Long March series of carrier rockets. Notably, the Long March-3B carrier rocket has achieved a significant milestone by completing its 100th space launch. This achievement underscores China's advancements in space technology, with the Long March-3B rocket taking 28 years to reach this mark since its inaugural flight in 1996.
