China Advances in 6G Development with Second Phase of Technical Trials

China: China has begun the second phase of 6G technical trials after the completion of the first phase, an official with the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology said Wednesday.

According to Anadolu Agency, Ministry spokesperson Xie Cun stated that the first phase of 6G technical trials resulted in a reserve of more than 300 key 6G technologies. China has established the world’s largest information infrastructure, with the number of 5G base stations surpassing 4.8 million and users exceeding 1.2 billion.

China holds most of the 6G patents globally. The next generation of wireless technology, 6G, is designed to be significantly faster than 5G, with speeds of more than a terabit per second and extremely low latency of 100 microseconds.
