Beijing: China has asserted that it has no interest in interfering in Canada's internal affairs amid allegations from Ottawa that Beijing, along with India, Pakistan, and Russia, may attempt to meddle with the upcoming elections. The Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman, Guo Jiakun, emphasized that China adheres to a strict policy of non-interference in the internal matters of other nations.

According to Anadolu Agency, the statement from China comes in response to claims made by Vanessa Lloyd, the deputy director of Canada's spy agency. Lloyd alleged that these countries could pose a threat to the integrity of Canada's federal polls, which are scheduled for April 28. She particularly noted the possibility of Beijing using artificial intelligence tools and social media to influence the election outcome.

Lloyd further suggested that India also possesses both the intent and capability to interfere in Canadian communities and democratic processes to advance its geopolitical interests. Additionally, she highlighted concerns over Russia's activities, stating that the country has potentially established dissemination networks on social media and news platforms to manipulate information and engage in interference operations targeting Canadians.
