China: China on Friday activated its highest-level emergency response for flooding in five provinces ahead of the expected landfall of Typhoon Francisco. The Ministry of Water Resources announced that moderate to heavy rainfall is forecast through Sunday across Zhejiang, Fujian, Guangdong, Jiangxi, and Hunan provinces, raising the risk of flooding in small- and medium-sized rivers.

According to Anadolu Agency, local authorities have been instructed to closely monitor the situation and take all necessary flood prevention measures. The ministry released a statement emphasizing the need for vigilance and preparedness in the affected areas.

In a bid to bolster the response efforts, two task forces have been deployed to Zhejiang and Fujian. These teams are tasked with assisting and supervising local flood control initiatives, ensuring that measures are effectively implemented to mitigate the impact of the typhoon.
