China: China launched a group of satellites into space Friday aboard a sea-based rocket from waters off the eastern province of Shandong.

According to Anadolu Agency, the commercial CERES-1 Y7 rocket lifted off at 4.10 am (2010GMT Thursday), carrying satellites for the Tianqi constellation. The offshore launch was carried out by the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center.
