Tianjin: China will host foreign ministers of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) member states on Tuesday, according to an official statement. The meeting will be held in the city of Tianjin and is expected to attract the participation of foreign ministers from Russia, Pakistan, India, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Belarus, as well as the leaders of the SCO's permanent bodies.

According to Anadolu Agency, the Chinese Foreign Ministry announced that the parties will discuss cooperation within the SCO across various fields and address significant international and regional issues. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov arrived in Beijing on Sunday, while the other foreign ministers are anticipated to arrive on Monday.

Last month, China hosted the Defense Ministers' Meeting of the SCO member states in Qingdao. However, a joint statement was not released at the conclusion of the meeting, as Indian Defense Minister Rajnath Singh opted not to sign the bloc's communique.

The SCO, which was established in 2001, is an inter-governmental organization comprising 10 member states: China, Russia, India, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, and Belarus.
